Portrait Experience Overview

A quick rundown of what having your senior photographed with Brittany Cross Portraits looks like:

The Consultation

At the complimentary consultation we will talk about how you see your senior being photographed and I’ll share with you more in detail about how my process works. You will be able to see samples of the products I offer and if you plan on booking a session with me we can begin discussing locations and clothing options for your session. If your senior is there at this appointment it’s a great time for us to begin getting to know each other a little better.

The Session

We will meet at a previously discussed location here in NC a few hours before the sun sets and the light is fixing to be the most beautiful of the day. This is when the fun begins! For some people, ninety minutes to two hours seems like an eternity but I promise you the time flies by! It will be a fun and stress-free time; your senior won’t have to worry at all about posing…I guide them the entire time—how to stand/sit, where to place hands, even when and how much to smile. It’s truly a care-free time for you and your senior! We chat, we laugh, we take some pictures. We laugh some more. We take more pictures. This time is all about your graduating child and celebrating this incredible milestone! It’s so much fun to focus on him or her and I often hear from my seniors that they had such a great time! This is probably the best part of the portrait experience!

The Reveal & Order Appointment

A couple weeks after your session we will meet so you can view your senior’s gorgeous images! At this appointment you will choose your favorites and decide on the products you want to order. If other family members need to be involved in the decision making, I ask that they attend the ordering appointment. Orders will be made and paid for at this time. It’s so exciting getting to see these beautiful images in person and picking out how you will enjoy your portraits for years to come! This might be the best part of the portrait experience! Warning: many of my parents cry when they see their senior's pictures. Don’t worry, I’ll have tissues.

The Delivery

About three weeks after the Reveal and Order appointment I will have your products back from the professional labs I work with. Once I’ve looked over them carefully to make sure they live up to my expectations, I will contact you to set up a good time for me to deliver your beautiful artwork! Now that I think about it, this might be the very best part of the portrait experience!
